The Who

My wellness journey began a decade ago after exhaustion and adrenal fatigue forced me to make some changes in my life that were long overdue. I have worked in the Beauty & Wellness Industry for 20 years in New Zealand, Australia, the Middle East &  Asia Pacific. Returning home and slowing down allowed me the chance to reconnect to Spirit, *Papatūānuku – the land, and my Nga puhi Ngāti Korokoro and Te Roroa lineage, important facets of my life I have disconnected with. In 2019 Wild Alchemy NZ was born from a desire to create beauty through a quiet simple ritual we can do daily, light a candle, inhale the fragrant notes and get lost in the flickering flame. Lighting a candle every night became the signal that I had made it through another day and could start the process of unwinding, of feeling safe and protected in my own space, away from the madness of the world.

*"Papatūānuku - In Māori worldview, land gives birth to all things, including humankind, and provides the physical and spiritual basis for life. Papatūānuku, the land, is a powerful mother earth figure who gives many blessings to her children." - Te Ara

It's fun to create, so I do. I handcraft unique, small-batch pure coconut wax candles often incorporating organic flowers, resins and crystal stone.  In 2022 I started selling organic botanical skincare using ethically sourced, sustainable ingredients.

Recycling is the process of converting waste materials into new materials and objects. It is an alternative to “conventional” waste disposal that can save material and help lower greenhouse gas emissions. Wild Alchemy packaging can be recycled. and used again. Give this item a second life and place it in appropriate recycling.

Biodegradable refers to the ability of materials to break down and return to nature. In order for packaging products or materials to qualify as biodegradable, they must completely break down and decompose into natural elements within a short time after disposal – typically a year or less.

Phthalate-free natural fragrance oils. To read more about phthalates in products, you can read this post I wrote about on my blog Radiance Project NZ here.

Ribbons on Wild Alchemy packaging are all-natural fibres are fibres made from naturally occurring sources such as plants, animals, and geological processes. The use of natural fibres is believed to contribute to a greener planet. Natural fibres can be broken down by bacteria once they are no longer in use so are biodegradable.
