What is Botanical Skincare?

Botanical skincare utilises ingredients sourced from various parts of plants, including seeds, roots, leaves, herbs, flowers, and fruits, all grown in New Zealand. These natural components are packed with nutrients and have properties that can soothe, repair, and nourish the skin. For detailed information about specific botanicals and their benefits to the skin, please visit the product page.

What are Active Ingredients?

Active ingredients or 'actives' refer to the key components in skincare products designed to address specific skin concerns. Examples of active ingredients used in our products include Niacinamide, CoQ10, Vitamin C, Lactic Acid, Mandelic Acid (AHAS), Salicylic Acid (BHAS), Glycerin, and Hyaluronic Acid, with detailed benefits available on the product page.

What does the BioGro New Zealand Certified Organic Logo mean?

The BioGro New Zealand Certified Organic Logo signifies that our products include ingredients that meet strict organic standards established by BioGro, a respected certification authority. This means these ingredients are grown without synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or fertilisers, promoting environmentally sustainable practices.

In our product listings, an asterisk next to certain ingredients indicates they are BioGro Certified Organic.

Patch Testing:
We recommend conducting a patch test before using our products, as they contain active ingredients. Instructions for the patch test can be found here in our resources and will also be included in each order. Since AHAs and enzymes are active, your skin may need time to adjust, so it’s advisable to introduce these products gradually.

Skin Sensitivities:

If you have facial eczema, psoriasis, or dermatitis, I highly recommend our Ultra Gentle Botanical Kit and skincare line, which will be available soon! These products are designed specifically to address the needs of sensitive skin while providing gentle care and effective results. Stay tuned for its release!

How Do I Store Your Products?

I recommend storing all our products in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

What is the Expiration Date of Your Products?

At Wild Alchemy Botanicals, we use natural preservatives that help maintain the quality of our products. While the shelf life is 12 months, we recommend using any skincare products within 9 months of opening. This ensures that you experience the freshest ingredients possible.

What is your policy on animal testing?

We do not test on animals and do not purchase from suppliers that do.

Who formulates your products?

I develop the product formulas and make all the products by hand in small batches in Waikato, Aotearoa, New Zealand. This careful, slow production process ensures products remain fresh and guarantees high quality.

Can You Recommend Products for My Skin Concerns?

I would love to help! You can submit an email inquiry to Sandra@wildalchemy.online. Let me know what products you’re currently interested in, your primary skin concerns, and your skincare routine.

Can You Send Me Samples?

Yes, I provide free samples with every purchase. Additionally, we offer introductory 30ml sizes for those who want to try before committing to our larger 150ml size.

What is your shipping process?

If you place an order on a weekday (Monday-Friday), we’ll get it ready to ship within 48 hours. Orders made over the weekend or on public holidays will be processed the following business day.

We use New Zealand Post Couriers for shipping both within New Zealand and internationally. All orders include tracking. In New Zealand, tracked courier shipping costs are currently $8.50. For international orders, shipping costs depend on the weight of the items and can be high. You will receive your tracking number via the email you used to place your order.

Am I eligible for free return shipping?

At present, as a small business, I do not cover the cost of return shipping. These fees go to a third-party shipping service. Please choose your items carefully! If you need to cancel an order, contact me as soon as possible, and I will do my best to assist you.

What are your Payment Options?

At Wild Alchemy Botanicals, I’m happy to provide you with a variety of flexible payment options. Through our partnerships with AfterPay and Laybuy, you can buy products today and pay in six interest-free instalments.

We also accept traditional payment methods, such as credit cards, EFTPOS cards, and PayPal.

Why can't I find you on Google Directory?

I operate from home and prioritise my privacy by not sharing my personal address online. The Google Business Directory requires a physical business address to list services, which is why I'm not currently listed there. This may change in the future if my business expands or moves to a different location.

Your submission of personal information through the store is governed by our Privacy Policy.
