Career Beginnings
Nearly two decades ago, I began my career at the Caci Clinic in New Zealand, where I discovered the transformative effects of skincare products and treatments. This experience ignited my passion and ambition to become a skin and dermal therapist. Since then, my career has spanned the globe, allowing me to work in medical spas and clinics in New Zealand, Australia, and the Middle East. Each location enriched my perspective and shaped my approach to skincare, enabling me to connect with diverse client bases and learn from different cultural practices.
Expertise and Qualifications
In the Middle East, I became a licensed Skin and Laser Technician, certified by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA). Collaborating with dermatologists, cosmetic nurses, and fellow therapists enhanced my skills and deepened my knowledge. I developed a keen ability to tailor skincare solutions to meet the unique needs of clients from a variety of cultural backgrounds.
My qualifications include a CIDESCO certification from Switzerland (2008) and a CIBTAC certification from the UK (2007). I also hold a Diploma in Beauty and Spa Therapies from the Elite School of Beauty and Spa in New Zealand (2007), complemented by certifications in teaching and small business management.

From a young age, I recognised nature's profound ability to heal, not in a classroom, but at home and through the icy waters of the South Pacific Ocean. When I was seven, I endured two harsh winters, during which my eczema worsened into juvenile plantar dermatosis (JPD), a painful condition affecting my feet. This common ailment among pre-adolescent children caused painful fissures, cracking, and scaling, making every step extremely painful. Despite trying conventional treatments like steroid injections and creams, relief was elusive. Frustrated but hopeful, my parents turned to traditional remedies.
Embracing Nature-Inspired Healing
My parents adopted methods inspired by nature, beginning a daily ritual of wading into the mineral-rich waters of the South Pacific Ocean, even in winter. The salt and cold were agonising on my cracked skin, making me doubt their sanity. Yet, by the next morning, the results were impressive: softened cracks, less inflammation, and pain-free steps. We also made dietary adjustments, including hot pūhā juice and incorporating pūhā into meals while removing dairy.
