What is Botanical Skincare?
Botanical skincare utilises ingredients extracted from various parts of plants, such as seeds, roots, leaves, herbs, flowers, and fruits. These plant-derived elements are rich in nutrients and possess properties that can effectively soothe, repair, and nourish the skin. For more comprehensive information on specific botanicals and their benefits, please refer to the product page.
What are active ingredients?
Active ingredients or 'actives' refer to the key components in skincare products designed to address specific skin concerns. Examples of active ingredients used in our products include Niacinamide, Coq10, Vitamin C, Lactic Acid, Mandelic Acid (AHAS), Salicylic Acid (BHAS), Glycerin, and Hyaluronic Acid, with detailed benefits available on the product page.
Patch Testing:
We recommend conducting a patch test before using our products, as they contain active ingredients. Instructions for the patch test can be found here in our resources and will also be included in each order. Since AHAs and enzymes are active, your skin may need time to adjust, so it’s advisable to introduce these products gradually.
Skin Sensitivities:
If you have experience with facial eczema, psoriasis, or dermatitis, we recommend our Ultra Gentle Botanical Kit and skincare line, coming soon!
How Do I Store Your Products?
I recommend storing all our products in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
What is the Expiration Date of Your Products?
At Wild Alchemy Botanicals, we use natural preservatives that help maintain the quality of our products. While the shelf life is 12 months, we recommend using any skincare products within 9 months of opening. This ensures that you experience the freshest ingredients possible.
What is your policy on animal testing?
We do not test on animals and do not purchase from suppliers that do.
Who formulates your products?
I develop the product formulas and make all the products by hand in small batches in Waikato, Aotearoa, New Zealand. This careful, slow production process ensures products remain fresh and guarantees high quality.
Can You Recommend Products for My Skin Concerns?
I would love to help! You can submit an email inquiry to Sandra@wildalchemy.online. Let me know what products you’re currently interested in, your primary skin concerns, and your skincare routine.
Can You Send Me Samples?
I send free samples with every purchase. Samples include our hydrosols, serums, oil blends, and foot and bath salts. In the future, I will be offering 30ml products, so stay tuned.
What is your shipping process?
If you place an order on a weekday (Monday - Friday), we’ll get it ready to ship within 48 hours. Orders made over the weekend or on public holidays will be processed the following business day.
We use New Zealand Post Couriers for shipping both within New Zealand and internationally. All orders include tracking. In New Zealand, tracked courier shipping costs are currently $8.50. For international orders, shipping costs depend on the weight of the items and can be high. You will receive your tracking number via the email you used to place your order.
Am I eligible for free return shipping?
As a small business, I do not cover the cost of return shipping. These fees go to a third-party shipping service. Please choose your items carefully! If you need to cancel an order, contact me as soon as possible, and I will do my best to assist you.
What are your Payment Options?
Wild Alchemy Botanicals is pleased to offer flexible payment options through our partnerships with AfterPay and Laybuy, allowing you to purchase products today and pay in 6 interest-free instalments.
In addition to these options, we also accept traditional payment methods, including credit cards, EFTPOS cards, and PayPal.
